High School
During high school, I challenged myself with rigorous courses and was involved in academic competitions.
Throughout high school, I excelled in advanced robotics and computer science courses. I completed all three grade 11 science courses (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics) and attended summer school to complete grade 12 English early to accelerate my learning. Even with the rigorous Alberta Curriculum, I have continually challenged myself with the highest level courses I could take to feed my curiosity.
Spirit of the Raven
The Spirit of the Raven award is the only academic award given out to students at Joane Cardinal-Schubert High School. Teachers nominate high-achieving students who also exhibit kindness and lead others through high school. I have won 3 of these Awards for Math, English, and Robotics.

Canadian Senior Mathematics Competition
The CSMC is a mathematics test conducted by the University of Waterloo. Some schools hold competitions where students write the test and see who can do the best. I participated in the CSMC event at JCS in 2023, where I won 2nd place in our school as a grade 11 student. I will compete again in grade 12, hoping to test my knowledge for a chance at a higher score.
Across the Pond
One opportunity offered at JCS is an annual trip to another country. I participated in this experience in spring 2024, travelling to England and France, and I am scheduled to go to Greece in spring 2025.
My trip to England and France was eye opening, allowing me to appreciate different cultures and see the effects of war. This pushes me to change to world for the better and appreciate diversity.
